I believe the art on our walls shapes how we see the world. It can remind us of who we are, and who we want to be.  I paint in a few different styles - from modern semi-abstract, rustic and earthy, to softly whimsical.

RUSTIC SPIRIT SERIES

My hope is that my Rustic Spirit paintings speak life, resilience, and quiet beauty into the spaces they’re in — that in the moment your eyes land on a piece, something settles in you, a quiet awe, if even briefly.

The Rustic Spirit Series features large pieces with variously textured surfaces, including roughened papers, hessian and wood that work with the earthy colours in creating grounded physical pieces that change with the lighting and angle of viewing and draw you closer with the desire to touch.  The paintings are framed in distressed timber to suit the tactile nature of the pieces.  In some photo mockups here, the frame is changed to match the interior shown.  Frame colour can be modified to suit your home styling.

THE HIGH COUNTRY COLLECTION

These paintings are relatively small - 30cm x 30cm  and work beautifully as a series or as stand-alone pieces.   They capture the sense of our unique High Country in the winter season, some including wildlife and always featuring those amazing Snow Gums that set our High Country apart from anywhere else in the world.  Each painting is on a deep-edge canvas, unframed and with the scene continuing around the edges.  The scenes are  softly stylised, bordering on the whimsical.  These paintings will shortly be available in print versions.  If you'd like to know more about print editions, please get in touch.
