Join me in the studio to explore, practice, and play — in a space designed to give you freedom and inspiration.

Open Studio Session times are 3 hours long.
You can come for just an hour, or more.
You can tackle one of my projects, or do your own.
You can join the session's Skill Drill class, or not.
You can come alone or with family or friends.
You can be a complete newbie, or an artist wanting to experiment.
You can have as much or as little of my help as you'd like.

Session cost?
$30 for the first hour, then $15 per hour. You can start your time at the beginning of any hour of the session. Walk-ins are welcome, but booked spots are guaranteed.

What's provided?
A mid sized canvas, use of student grade acrylic paints, use of all tools, brushes, an apron or smock, inspiration and instruction, props and anything else you need.
​
What's extra?
We have a range of canvas sizes and shapes (tiny to huge) available to buy.
We also have specialty paints - metallics, pearls, dimensional and much more plus mixed media stuff. There is a proportionate charge for materials for specialty or very large projects.
You can buy a bottomless coffee or tea too, or bring your own drinks and nibbles.

What do I need to bring?
Bring your own food and drinks. And if you're working on your own project, bring that. Bring a friend or two, or bring the family! Otherwise, everything you'll need is already here waiting for you.

Kids?
Yes, but if they're under 10, they'll need to come with a supervising adult. Coming soon we'll have an after school programme and something for the holidays where kids can come unsupervised. Stay tuned for that. But normal Open Studio Sessions are best for 10 years and upward.

LESSONS (coming soon)
​One hour focus class - learning the techniques and practices for developing the skills of a confident artist. Rotating class subjects (eg: fur and hair, composition, perspective and distance, flora and landscape... )
​
Classes available during each Open Studio Session. Artist enjoying Open Studio time are welcome to join in.

Focus Lessons $30 (1 hour)

What's provided?
Paints, pencils, brushes and tools. Focused tuition.

What's extra?
If you'll be a regular working through the classes - Bring your own sketch pad and paint pad.
If you're a casual visitor, we can provide paper.
Bottomless coffee and tea is also an option, or you can bring your own drinks and nibbles.

Kids?
Yes! Kids from 10 years old can take part in any of the Focus Classes.
But also I'll have an after-school lesson programme, plus holiday time sessions for kids - so stay tuned as we roll that out
